I’m In LOVE!

Yeah. It’s true. I’m in love with Mike Gayle, the author of Dinner for Two. Heh..

After browsing some of the books in MPH, Alamanda last Wednesday (pay day!), this Dinner for Two captured my attention. I managed to finish reading it yesterday and this book absolutely is on my top 3 best book of the year, after ps I luv u n where rainbows end by Cecelia Ahern. Just read it. It’s highly recommended by me. It’s sort of funny at the beginning and became a little bit emotional through the end as written in the cover, funny but also poignant!

Dinner for Two is a book about music journalist Dave Harding "accidentally" chose a different career path as an "agony uncle" ("Love Doctor Dave") and actually enjoying it. A funny read for women who want to understand men better, and for men trying to understand why women understand so little sometimes. There’s one article that Dave Harding wrote about ‘The Art of Talking Without Talking’. Some sort of why men can’t read women’s mind. For me, the article is so true and I like the way he expresses it. Women always hope that men can read what’s on their mind and men always wonder why women just can’t simply say what exactly on their mind without some guessing game. I think that’s the interesting part of life that we just have to accept…

So today, while the vendor was doing some demo for us, I browsed through the internet (hehe) for any other book written by Mike Gayle and found out several books; My Legendary GF, Mr. Commitment n Turning 30. After reading some of the reviews, I think that My Legendary GF will be my next purchase. I feel like just I want to head straight to MPH and grab me a copy of the book NOW!. Heheheh.. It’s hard when you’re in love right? :X

Next topic.

I decided to update my profile in Friendster after realizing that my ‘frankly moody type of person’ was so boring.. (I managed to be less moody right now coz I’m surrounded by great friends).. so I’ve changed it to some quote that just came across my head right before closing my eyes yesterday. I asked my English Sifoo Che Nangka, who has always been my best English teacher all this while  - even this entry got approval from her :D (tq dear!!!!) - what she thinks of that quote. She interprets it as  “Why the grass is always greener on the other side.." Hehe.. In fact, the truth is it’s hard for me to find shoes/sandals in size 9.. hahaha.. Actually that quote does apply to my life. Sometimes I make my life complicated by thinking too deeply or too much.  It’s like what u want is just to find a raya shoe but u end up crying when u just can’t find any that fits u esp when  u’ve fallen in love with that certain shoe. (Plz take note that I do not cry in real life when I can’t find a sandal for raya :D)

Anyway, I believe that everything does happen for a reason. All I have to do is to not give up and keep wishing n hoping that all my prayers will be answered. Aminnnn.
